Answer: Introduction The supply chain is basically a process by which a supplier reaches to a consumer. Each and every organization has a supply chain. In this 21st century, there is a number of buyer and seller present in the competitive market structure. Moreover, each consumer has different tests and has specific demand. To meet these demands and for full filling, them the supply chain moves towards. Mainly, the supply chain creates the final product by transforming the natural resources. In the case of the retail business supply chain is the second last step of the production process. A manufacturing company produce a product which supplied by the supplier to meet the demand of the customers, as a result the process will save time (Roh, Hong Min, 2014). Actually, there are huge numbers of suppliers and seller who are appointed for only this specific purpose of supply and hence for this supply chain companies meet their consumers easily. Statement of the problem The retail firms are facing various problems related to this supply chain. Nowadays the demand or test of the consumers is changing day by day. Therefore to catch up this changing demand and to get their responsiveness the company has to maintain a positively active supply chain. Sometimes this can happen that there creates a gap between demand for a product and supply for a product. Hence, for this problem the respective company has to improve its supply chain. There are many new technologies which may include in the supply chain (Subramanian et al. 2014). Where there is a certain brand and supply chain creates a brief idea about the particular brand to the respective customer, they also practice an open market operation for the particular product. In this context to catch the response of the consumers, a company can continue their supply chain through social media or by innovative technologies. Which will be more time saving for both buyer and seller (Simchi-Levi, Schmidt Wei, 2014)? Background of the Problem In this competitive market, the major problem is capturing the market by the competitor firm. In the retail market, there is much-renowned brand present in the market. A brand creates its own intact whether it may be good or may be bad for the consumers (Wisner, Tan Leong, 2014). Hence, if it happens that a company grown up a good impact in the consumer's mind then it will be very difficult to remove this impact. So if the supply chain is not working properly then there may create a huge gap between buyers and sellers. Moreover, by improving supply chain one company increases its production so as the same manner if the supply chain is not working properly then it will affect the revenue of the company (Swink,2014 ). Purpose of the Study The purpose of the study is to grape the consumers demand and tries to maintain it by respective companys supply. For company's own interest they create a supply chain as they can meet the consumer's demand. Moreover, the quantity of demand for a particular product is an important aspect. Therefore, if the amount of demand is less than supply then there will be a concept of inventory(Waters Rinsler, 2014). Inventory system bears some cost on behalf of the company and if the quantity of demand is more than supply then there will be an extra demand in the retail market. Both of these two incidents badly affect the economy. Another hand extra demand increases the price of the respective products in the retail market. Significance of the Study The above study which deals with supply chain gives a view of overall supply and demand of a particular market. Research Questions and Hypotheses The research questions are: What are the strategies required for collecting the response of the consumers? What is the major problem by doing these strategies? Hypotheses : H 0 = Active managed system will help in reducing waste and developing planning standards H1 = Active managed system wont help in reducing waste and developing planning standards Literature Review Methodology For every research paper it is very much important to maintain a appropriate research method. Here considering positivism research philosophy, deductive research approach there has to design a suitable descriptive research method. The final or last portion of the methodology is interview and survey which is also considered as a research strategy. Descriptive research design structure the research paper properly. Moreover, by interview and survey the primary data can be collected from the respective market. An advantage of the interview system is to create clear concept about the consumer or buyer. Therefore, interview is a necessary and important step of the methodology.
